2. Problem Description
This article enumerates the important files and folders that you need to back up prior to WFBS upgrade.
Solution
The following are the important data to back up before upgrading:
Note: Stop the Trend Micro Security Server Master Service before backing up the files. Once done, start the service again.
For the Security Server:
  • Ofcscan.ini - This file contains the global settings. It is located on the C: Program Files\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV folder.
  • Ous.ini - This file contains the update source table for component deployment. It is located on the ..\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV folder.
  • Private folder - This contains the firewall settings and license information. It is located on the ..\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV folder.
  • HTTPDB folder - This contains the server and client settings and information. It is located on the ..\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV folder.
  • TMOPP folder - This contains the Outbreak Defense settings. It is located on the ..\PCCSRV\Web folder.
  • OfcPfw.dat - This file contains the personal firewall settings. It is located on the ..\PCCSRV\Pccnt\Common folder.
  • OfcPFW.dat file - This contains the firewall deployment settings. This is located on the ..\PCCSRV\Download folder.
For the Messaging Security Agent (WFBS Advanced only):
The following can be found on the C: Program Files\Trend Micro\Messaging Security Agent folder.
  • Config folder - This contains the XML files for generating ScanMail for Exchange (SMEX) databases.
  • EUQ folder - This contains the End-User Quarantine logs and configuration files.
  • Data folder - This contains the database configuration such as SMEX rules, reports, etc.
  • Storage folder - This contains the configuration of dedicated storage for archives, backups, and quarantined items on a filter basis. It enables administrators to relocate resource intensive storage areas on separate partitions or hard drives.
3. Problem Description
You can migrate clients to a different server using the Move tool feature that can be found in the WFBS console.
Solution
To use the Move tool:
  1. On the old Security Server, open the WFBS Standard/Advanced console and then click Security Settings. The Security Settings page appears.
  2. Select the client that you want to move.
For WFBS 8.0 and lower versions, click Move. The Move Desktop/Server page appears.
    Insert image A here.
For WFBS 9.0, click the Manage Client Tree > Move Client. The Move Desktop/Server page appears.
    Insert image B here.
  3. On the Server Name field, type the name of the new Security Server where you want to move the clients.
  4. On the HTTP Port field, type the port number of the new Security Server.
    Insert image B here.
By default, the port is 8059. To verify, go to the ..\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV directory and open the ofcscan.ini file. Look for the value of Master_Domainport.
  5. Click Move. The client will reappear in the Security Group tree of the new server.
Note: To move clients between groups on the same Security Server, drag-and-drop desktops and servers from one group to another. WFBS automatically applies the target group's settings to the new member.
