Insert key does not work in Microsoft Word 2007

Microsoft Word 2007 disables the function of the Insert key.Microsoft Word 2007 disables the Insert key on your keyboard. The Insert key allows you to overwrite, or type over, text.

To enable the Insert key in Microsoft Word 2007, do the following:

1.Open Microsoft Office 2007.
2.Click Office Button > Word Options.
3.Select Advanced.
4.Place a check mark next to Use the Insert key to control overtype mode.
5.Click OK.
The Insert key will now function normally in Microsoft Word 2007.
